Take it Easy to the Boneyard

Take it Easy to the Boneyard

On a cool spring day I drove a short distance up the Greenstone Mountain Road and hiked a loop route.    The first trail was Take it Easy as it wound up Cherry Creek then crossed over to the open douglas fir forest.

There is a maze of mountain bike trails to choose from but I tried to minimize steep sections and crossed to the Boneyard Trail, then followed an old double track down a stream valley back to the start.

The trails are in good shape and the open forest and pine grass meadows is an inviting area for hiking, staying alert for fast-moving mountain bikes on narrow sections.   Click an image for a full lightbox view and a caption.

Some of the hike is captured in some clips, here spliced together into a two minute YouTube video.

I will be back to hike more trails in this area soon.
