Rose Hill Trails – Kamloops Trails
From Rose Hill Park a number of informal trails and routes go east, west, and north and some of the trails can be combined to make a loop route, or an out-and-back route across the hills. On a November day I watched for trails heading toward Juniper Ridge and at each junction, I made eclectic choices, eventually doing a loop route.
Part of the plan was to hike a known route on a ridge overlooking the valley, so I cut across the open hillsides to the east end of the ridge.
This was a quiet hike on a sunny day on the Rose Hill slopes.
There are a series of fine viewpoints across the valleys.
At the western edge of the slope break, I stopped to enjoy the views, then turned back toward the parking area at Rose Hill Park, completing a shorter hike on a cool, sunny day.
