MPs comment on lawful access bill, Canada’s food supply chain – June 16, 2026

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree, as well as Conservative MPs Frank Caputo and Jacob Mantle speak about the Liberal government’s ongoing attempt to pass Bill C-22, its legislation on lawful access.

Conservative House Leader Andrew Scheer and Conservative Deputy House Leader Luc Berthold comment on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s limited attendance at daily question period in the parliamentary session.
