Statement from Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on Canadian Armed Forces Day

Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and the Conservative Party of Canada, released the following statement on Canadian Armed Forces Day:

“For generations, Canada’s brave men and women have fought, bled and sacrificed for this country. Answering their nation’s call, our Canadian Armed Forces have proudly responded to emergencies at home and worked with our allies abroad.

“From the World Wars to Korea and Afghanistan, our sailors, soldiers and aviators have left their families behind to risk their lives defending others.

“As we honour those who have served and currently serve our country, we reflect on their dedication, resilience and courage. We also remember with gratitude all those who gave their lives on missions abroad.

“On behalf of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and the Conservative Party of Canada, I would like to thank members of the Canadian Armed Forces for their professionalism and commitment.”
