Steven Guilbeault dénonce un recul environnemental du gouvernement

Mark Carney perd la voix environnementale la plus influente de son parti. L’ancien ministre de l’Environnement et du Changement climatique, Steven Guilbeault, a annoncé mercredi qu’il quittera son poste de député plus tard cet été. Il se dit profondément préoccupé par ce qu’il perçoit comme un recul du gouvernement dans la lutte contre les changements climatiques. Réagissant à cette annonce plus tôt cette semaine, le premier ministre Mark Carney a salué la contribution de M. Guilbeault au fil des années, notamment en matière d’environnement, tout en soulignant que les priorités évoluent avec le temps. Pour expliquer sa décision et revenir sur les raisons de son départ, Steven Guilbeault s’entretient avec Marc-André Cossette.
