New CRTC streaming rules, PM Carney in NYC – May 28, 2026

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Conservative MP Rachael Thomas discusses her party’s new motion that calls for the elimination of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s new rules for online streaming services to contribute 15 per cent of Canadian revenues toward supporting the creation of Canadian content.

Liberal MP Carlos Leitão, NDP MP Leah Gazan, as well as Conservative MPs Randy Hoback and Shannon Stubbs respond to questions on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s speech to a business audience in New York City.
