Inside India’s High-Stakes Trade Mission to Canada

India is making a major trade push in Canada this week. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is leading a delegation of more than 100 business and industry representatives with stops in Ottawa and Toronto over the next three days. At the centre of the visit is a goal to grow Canada-India bilateral trade to 70 billion dollars by 2030 – a target announced in March during Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trip to India. To discuss what is at stake for both countries, Marc-André Cossette is joined by the President and CEO of the Canada-India Business Council, Victor Thomas.
