“Game Changer”: India Trade Mission Signals New Momentum in Canada Ties

India is ramping up its trade outreach in Canada this week as Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal leads a delegation of more than 100 business leaders to Ottawa and Toronto. The visit follows Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trip to India in March, where both countries pledged to finalize a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement by year’s end. Marc-André Cossette speaks with Prashant Srivastava, President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, about what the mission means for Canada-India trade relations.
