Doug Ford attends groundbreaking of new Ontario Science Centre – May 25, 2026

Premier Doug Ford holds a news conference to mark the beginning of construction on the new Ontario Science Centre, a milestone in the province’s plan to redevelop Ontario Place on the Toronto waterfront. Also speaking at the event are John Carmichael, chair of the centre’s board of trustees, and Stan Cho, Ontario’s minister of tourism.

Responding to questions from reporters, the premier comments on Caroline Mulroney’s decision to resign from cabinet and step down as an MPP in June.
