Canada’s top doctor gives update on hantavirus and Ebola outbreaks – May 22, 2026

Dr. Joss Reimer, Canada’s chief public health officer, holds a media briefing in Ottawa on the government’s response to the recent outbreaks of hantavirus on a cruise ship and Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She is joined by officials from Global Affairs Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency.
