Premier Ford announces investment in water infrastructure – May 8, 2026

Ontario Premier Doug Ford holds a news conference in Smith Falls, Ont., to announce an investment of $14 million in housing-enabling water infrastructure projects in Lanark and Frontenac counties through the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program. The funding will support upgrades to drinking water and wastewater systems in communities including Smiths Falls and North Frontenac.

He is joined by acting Minister of Infrastructure Todd McCarthy, Smiths Falls Mayor Shawn Pankow, and North Frontenac Mayor Gerry Lichty.
