Alberta Premier Danielle Smith speaks to reporters in Ottawa after taking part in the annual Canada Strong and Free conference.

Smith met earlier in the day with Prime Minister Mark Carney to discuss the energy deal between her province and the federal government, which may include a new oil pipeline and a carbon capture project.
