Food Allergy Canada urges parliamentary backing for national food allergy framework – May 7, 2026

Food Allergy Canada holds a news conference in Ottawa in support of Senate Bill S-247. The proposed legislation would drive a coordinated national approach for food allergy prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management across Canada.

Speaking at the conference are Senator Anthony Cardozo, Jennifer Gerdts (executive director, Food Allergy Canada), and Heidi & Sullivan Hauver (mother and child with life-threatening food allergies).
