Conservatives comment on MAID for Mental Illness, Hhlting of Honda EV plant – May 6, 2026

Conservative MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as the federal party holds its weekly caucus meeting.

MPs Dan Mazier, Michael Cooper and Michael Barrett are asked about the possibility that the federal government may introduce legislation to pause the expansion of medical assistance in dying to individuals solely suffering from a mental illness.

MPs Michael Guglielmin, Kyle Seeback, Fred Davies, Adam Chambers and Barrett respond to questions on reports that Honda will halt its planned EV plant in Ontario.

MPs Glen Motz and Billy Morin comment on the data breach in Alberta involving the alleged release of personal information of 2.9 million electors in the province.
