NDP MP Leah Gazan and Senator Kim Pate hold a news conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to discuss the next steps for Tona’s Law, Bill S-205, now that it has passed in the Senate. The bill aims to impose limits, through judicial oversight, on the use of solitary confinement in prison. (April 30, 2026)
