Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on removing gas tax, Canada-U.S. trade – April 24, 2026

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre holds a news conference in In Mississauga, Ont., to renew his party’s call for the government to remove all federal taxes on gas and diesel for the remainder of the year.

Poilievre faces questions from reporters on the Carney government’s approach to trade talks with the Trump administration. He also comments on the newly approved $4-billion Enbridge natural gas pipeline expansion in British Columbia.
