ACÉUM : Washington exigerait des concessions du Canada

Le premier ministre Mark Carney affirme que le Canada ne fera aucune nouvelle concession aux États-Unis avant l’ouverture des négociations de l’Accord Canada–États-Unis–Mexique (ACEUM). Il réagit à un reportage de Radio-Canada selon lequel Washington réclamerait des concessions préalables, une demande qu’il rejette fermement. Le premier ministre insiste sur le fait que les États-Unis ne dicteront pas les règles du jeu, alors qu’un nouveau comité consultatif sur les relations économiques canado-américaines vient d’être lancé. Marc-André Cossette en discute avec Valérie Beaudoin, chercheuse associée à la Chaire Raoul-Dandurand et membre de ce comité.
