MPs comment on Canadian Armed Forces’ recruitment, Canada-U.S. relations

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Conservative MP James Bezan comments on Defence Minister David McGuinty’s announcement earlier in the day on the uptick in recruitment in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne faces questions on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s recent declaration that Canada’s close ties to the United States have become a “weakness” for the country.
