By-Election Victories Hand Liberals Majority, Raise Pressure on Conservatives

Monday’s three by-elections pushed the Carney government over the top, bringing the Liberal seat count to 174 and securing a majority. It was widely expected that the Liberals would win at least two of the three races, and if they had lost Terrebonne, the seat was predicted to go to the Bloc, meaning the Conservatives were never really in contention. However, some political observers say the Conservatives should not ignore the final results. To break it all down, Michael Serapio is joined by polls analyst Eric Grenier, founder and writer of The Writ.
