Border businesses call for federal action amid cross-border travel slump – March 26, 2026

At a news conference in Ottawa, the Frontier Duty Free Association’s Barbara Barrett responds to new data showing a decline in Canadian travel to the United States. The association is calling on the federal government to take targeted regulatory action to help Canada’s border businesses compete with U.S. competitors.
