Canada’s largest Pride festivals call for federal support – March 24, 2026

In Ottawa, representatives from Canada’s three largest Pride festivals call on the federal government to distribute its allocated funding for Pride events to ensure they are “strong, safe, and sustainable” in communities across the country.

Speaking at the news conference are Kojo Modeste, the executive director of Pride Toronto, Higino Monteiro, the interim executive director of Fierté Montréal, and Joseph Hoang, the executive director of Vancouver Pride.
