TRU celebrates opening of Wolfie’s Campus Store in Old Main

Students, faculty and staff gathered in Old Main on March 19 for the grand opening of Wolfie’s Campus Store, a newly renovated space that brings together course material pickup, TRU and WolfPack gear, retail merchandise, custom print needs and on-demand print services in one convenient location.

The event featured remarks from university leaders, a ribbon cutting and a lineup of activities that drew a crowd. Members of the TRU WolfPack sports teams joined the celebration, greeting guests and helping kick off the festivities, with Libby Meldrum, captain of the women’s volleyball team, joining President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Airini for the ribbon cutting.

Those who stopped by had the chance to shoot a basketball for prizes, enter to win a WolfPack prize package and take advantage of opening-day promotions.

In her remarks, Airini spoke about pride as part of the TRU experience and the role the new space plays in making that visible.

“Wolfie’s Campus Store is more than a store. It is a place where pride in being part of TRU is visible,” said Airini. “Pride is what students feel when they first arrive on campus, what faculty and staff build every day and what TRU alumni carry with them. Pride is what our wider community means when they say, ‘We are on Team TRU.’”

The crowd looks on as Dr. Airini and WolfPack volleyball captain Libby Meldrum open Wolfie’s with a ribbon-cutting.

She added that the store amplifies that shared identity across university life.

“This is where our colours are worn, where our stories are shared and where being part of the TRU WolfPack shows up, not just on game days, but every day, together.”

The new store is hard to miss with its refreshed look inside and out. It brings together several services previously offered in different locations across campus. Students can pick up course materials ordered online, shop TRU and WolfPack merchandise and access custom and on-demand printing in one central space.

Opening-day celebrations also included refreshments, giveaways and discounts on TRU and WolfPack merchandise.

Wolfie’s Campus Store is now open in Old Main, providing a central place for the community to connect and celebrate being part of Team TRU.
