Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame & Annual Athletic Award Banquet » Kamloops Sports Council
The Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame and Kamloops Sports Council invite you to join in the 36th annual ceremony taking place on April 11th, 2026 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre.
This year, the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame will be inducting a total of three individuals, one team, and one volunteer organization while the Kamloops Sports Council will be presenting seven Athletic Awards.
The Hall of Fame Inductees include:
- Jessica Hewitt – Speed Skating
- Kelly Hunter – Softball/Baseball Umpire
- Glenn Armstrong – Football Coach
- 1980 Kamloops Turbulence – Senior Women’s Volleyball
- The Kamloops Sports Legacy Fund
The KSC Athletic Award nominees include:
Female Athlete of the Year
- Kate Pinsonneault – Water Ski
- Alivia Smigielski – Lacrosse

Male Athlete of the Year
- Harris Hunter – Kayak

Coach of the Year
- Neil Barrett – Diving
- Bernard Manuel – Lacrosse
- Mike De Cicco – Soccer
Team of the Year
- Team Brown – Curling

Starting off with a cocktail hour at 5:00 pm, dinner will be served at 6:00 pm, followed by the Annual Athletic Awards and the induction of the Hall of Fame.
Attendees are encouraged to attend all portions of the evening and celebrate the magnificent athletes from the community!
*Tickets are on sale for $85.00 (plus applicable fees). Please be aware that there are a limited number of spots available, which will be sold on a first come first serve basis. You can purchase your tickets online here. Please note you will not be able to buy tickets at the door.
The Silent Auction and KidSport Kamloops 50/50
In addition to the Hall of Fame inductions and Athletic Awards, there will also be a silent auction for attendees to bid on throughout the event! Items in this auction have been donated by various companies and organizations in and around Kamloops. This event will also be the kickoff of a 50/50 fundraiser for KidSport Kamloops!
