Canada’s minority Parliament means no government initiative is guaranteed to pass as the Liberals continue efforts to strengthen their numbers in the House. The latest development saw Nunavut MP Lori Idlout leave the NDP to join the Liberal caucus, raising new questions about the future of the New Democrats and the balance of power in Ottawa.
