Conservative MPs discuss “Stand on Guard” proposal to expand self-defence rights – March 12, 2026

Conservative MPs hold a news conference on Parliament Hill to discuss the “Stand on Guard” principle. The proposal would amend the Criminal Code to give Canadians more legal protection when defending their homes from intruders.

In attendance are Sandra Cobena, Melissa Lantsman, Larry Brock, and Pierre Paul-Hus.
