Conservatives on MP Lori Idlout joining Liberal caucus – March 11, 2026

Conservative MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as the federal party holds its weekly caucus meeting.

MPs Brad Vis and Michael Cooper face questions on former NDP MP for Nunavut, Lori Idlout, crossing the floor to join the governing Liberals.

MP Frank Caputo comments on the Liberal government’s announcement from earlier in the day that provides $10 million in funding for Jewish communities in Canada to enhance security at their gathering places. This comes in the wake of three synagogue shootings in Toronto in the past week.
