Ontario goverment highlights hospital expansion in New Tecumseth – March 9, 2026

Ontario Premier Doug Ford holds a news conference in New Tecumseth, Ont., to announce that construction has officially commenced on the redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital, supported by $174 million in provincial funding.

The premier is joined by Sylvia Jones (Ontario deputy premier and minister of health), Brian Saunderson (MPP, Simcoe—Grey), Richard Norcross (mayor of New Tecumseth) and Carmine Stumpo (supervisor, Stevenson Memorial Hospital).
