Commerce Canada–Japon : une relation renforcée

Le premier ministre Mark Carney est de retour à Ottawa après une tournée dans la région Indo-pacifique, au cours de laquelle il a renforcé les liens du Canada avec l’Inde, l’Australie et le Japon. Il a notamment conclu un nouveau partenariat stratégique avec le premier ministre japonais Fumio Kishida, axé sur la défense, l’énergie et les technologies. Malgré l’attention portée aux visites en Inde et en Australie, plusieurs experts estiment que la relation économique avec le Japon demeure essentielle pour le Canada. Marc-André Cossette en discute avec Ian Burney, ancien ambassadeur du Canada au Japon de 2016 à 2021.
