Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Official Opposition, released the following statement on International Women’s Day:

“Today we celebrate the backbone of our nation, the amazing women at the heart of our families and communities. International Women’s Day is a chance for all of us to cherish and appreciate that incredible half of the human race.

“For my own part, my wife Anaida and daughter Valentina have enriched my own life immensely. Today, and every day, I am deeply grateful for them.

“Conservatives will always fight for a future where Canadian women can achieve their full potential in a country that is safe and affordable for all.

“On behalf of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, I want to wish everyone a happy International Women’s Day!”
