Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Official Opposition, released the following statement on Holi:

“Around the world, there are few festivals as instantly recognizable as Holi. Streets become rivers of vibrant colour as music and dancing fill the air.

“Behind each colour is the celebration of the triumph of good over evil and renewal for the future. Today offers a chance to reflect on the stories that continue to offer spiritual guidance and wisdom for Hindus.

“Even as the day comes to a close, the brightness of the Festival of Colours continues with the arrival of spring, encouraging us to look ahead with hope and optimism.

“While hundreds of thousands across Canada share in the joy and comfort of Holi, Conservatives send our best wishes to everyone celebrating. May you find yourself refreshed as we welcome the changing seasons together.

“Happy Holi! Holi Hai!”
