Statement from Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on Hola Mohalla

Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Official Opposition, released the following statement on Hola Mohalla:

“Since Guru Gobind Singh Ji first established Hola Mohalla over three centuries ago, Sikhs have ushered in spring through skillful displays of athleticism perfected over generations and faithfully passed down to the future.

“Across Canada, this heritage will be on full display as festivals and parades feature the eternal message of hope, the promise that good will always prevail over evil and carry forward timeless values of courage.

“While feats of valour and endurance highlight time-honoured traditions, Sikhs will continue to carry out the spirit of Seva through giving to those in need throughout their communities and organizing communal Langars in gurdwaras throughout our country.

“As Sikhs from around the world mark the arrival of spring with tests of strength and resilience, Conservatives extend our best wishes to everyone celebrating here at home.

“Happy Hola Mohalla!”
