B.C. Premier David Eby talks health care, meeting with OpenAI CEO – February 27, 2026

B.C. Premier David Eby tours the construction site of the new St. Paul’s Hospital project in Vancouver and takes questions from reporters.

The premier responds to questions on health care and on his upcoming meeting with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The meeting comes following a meeting between federal government officials and company representatives earlier in the week after revelations that OpenAI banned an account associated with the Tumbler Ridge, B.C. shooter last June but failed to alert Canadian authorities.
