Canada–India relations: PM’s trip, foreign interference concerns – February 26, 2026

Liberal MPs Wayne Long, Gurbux Saini, Corey Hogan, Hedy Fry, Rob Oliphant and Jean-Yves Duclos, as well as NDP MP Jenny Kwan face questions on statements from federal government officials claiming that India had ceased foreign interference and transnational repression campaigns in Canada. This comes ahead of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trade mission to the country and ongoing efforts to reset the bilateral relationship with New Delhi.

Conservative MP Jamie Schmale and Liberal MP Jonathan Wilkinson are asked about Instagram’s new child protection tool that will alert parents if their teens search repeatedly for content related to suicide and self-harm on their platform.
