Premier Eby proposes $400M strategic investment fund for B.C. – February 24, 2026

In Victoria, British Columbia Premier David Eby announces that his government is introducing legislation to create a $400-million Strategic Investment Fund that would allow the province to make loans, equity investments and repayable contributions in major private-sector projects. If passed, the fund will help B.C. reduce its reliance on the United States for trade.

He is joined by Ravi Kahlon (jobs and economic growth minister), Leann Collins (director, Association of British Columbia Marine Industries), and Wendy Hurlburt (president and CEO, Life Sciences BC).
