Prime Minister Carney meets with new Liberal MP Matt Jeneroux in Edmonton – February 18, 2026

In Edmonton, Prime Minister Mark Carney meets with the newest member of the Liberal caucus, Alberta MP Matt Jeneroux.

The prime minister announced earlier that the former Conservative MP will be joining the minority Liberal government as a “special advisor on economic and security partnerships.”

This comes following Jeneroux’s November 2025 announcement that he would be resigning his Edmonton Riverbend seat.
