MPs comment on U.S. House Vote against Trump’s Canada tariffs – February 12, 2026

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Finance Minister Francois Philippe Champagne, Bloc Qu?b?cois MPs Rh?al ?loi Fortin and Alexis Desch?nes, Liberal MPs Sophie Chatel, Corey Hogan and Charles Sousa, as well as Conservative MP Jo?l Godin respond to questions on U.S. House of Representatives’ vote to overturn President Donald Trump’s tariffs against Canada.

Champagne is also asked about Canada’s upcoming trade mission to Mexico, which comes ahead of the planned review of CUSMA. (no interpretation)
