Lieutenant-Governor Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia delivers a speech to open the second session of the 43rd Parliament of British Columbia. The traditional speech from the throne was cancelled following the February 10, 2026, mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, a small community in the province’s north. (February 12, 2026)
