MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Conservative MPs Frank Caputo and Michael Chong comment on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s recent trip to Beijing and call on the government to release the details of a memorandum on understanding related to security national intelligence signed between Canada and China.

Liberal MPs Judy Sgro, Karina Gould, and Taleeb Noormohamed, as well as NDP MP Gord Johns and Conservative Deputy Leader Melissa Lantsman face questions on reports that Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ontario Premier Doug Ford discussed the idea of an early federal election.

Johns is also asked about federal support for Ontario’s ailing auto sector.
