At a news conference in Ottawa, members of the Canadian Health Coalition call on the federal government to protect public health care from cuts and privatization and to advance pharmacare.

Speaking with reporters are Jason MacLean (chair of the Canadian Health Coalition), Chris Gallaway (director of the Friends of Medicare, Alberta), Natalie Mehra (director of the Ontario Health Coalition), Émilie Charbonneau (social worker and vice-president of the Alliance du personnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux du Québec), Pam Parks (registered practical nurse and president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 6364).
