Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew holds a news conference in Winnipeg to highlight the start of construction on four new schools in the province. The projects are being done under the Manitoba Jobs Agreement, a provincial policy that prioritizes hiring Manitoba workers for government infrastructure projects.

The premier is joined by Mintu Sandhu (minister of public service delivery), David Pankratz (MLA for Waverley), Dave McPhail (secretary treasurer, IBEW), Tanya Palson (executive director, Manitoba Building Trades), Peter Wightman (executive director, CLRAM), and Victor DaSilva (business manager, LiUNA LOCAL 1258).
