Liberals Record Best Fundraising Year in Party History

Ottawa, ON — The Liberal Party of Canada announced today that 2025 marked its best-ever fundraising year, with Canadians chipping in over $29M to support Mark Carney and the Liberal Party — over 60 per cent more than the previous campaign year and nearly double that of 2024.

“This was a historic year, and it continues to be a historic moment for the Liberal Party,” said Azam Ishmael, National Director of the Liberal Party of Canada. “Canadians are stepping forward in record-breaking numbers to support our party because they believe in Mark Carney, our team, and our plan to build a stronger Canada. That momentum is helping grow our party, and ensuring we’re ready to win, whenever the next election arrives.”

This fundraising success builds on record engagement through 2025, with more than 300,000 new Registered Liberals joining the party, a secure and robust Leadership race, millions of door knocks and calls made to connect with Canadians, and the most votes ever earned by a Canadian political party on Election Day.

While Pierre Poilievre continues to double down on the same divisive politics Canadians rejected last spring, Mark Carney and our new Liberal government are delivering the serious leadership needed to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future.

Building on this momentum, Liberals are already looking ahead. This weekend, volunteers will join the first virtual Campaign College of 2026, as the party prepares to welcome thousands of supporters from across the country for its 2026 National Convention in Montréal from April 9-11.
