“We’re Suing Stellantis” – Industry Minister Mélanie Joly

December 10, 2025 at 3:47 pm  Federal, Politics, Video

Industry Minister Mélanie Joly was asked today by Conservative MP Kyle Seeback. about the nature of job guarantees reportedly provided by Stellantis to the federal government. Since 2023, the federal government has provided over two hundred million dollars to Stellantis to retool the company’s plants in Windsor and Brampton, but earlier this year the car company announced it would be moving production out of Brampton to a car plant in Illinois. It has led to thousands of job losses at the Canadian facility, and Ottawa is now threatening to sue Stellantis. CPAC’s Michael Serapio interviews her to know more about her strategy to retain those jobs in Canada.
