Justice Minister Sean Fraser discusses bill to protect children, address intimate partner violence

Speaking with reporters in Ottawa, Sean Fraser, the federal minister of justice, discusses proposed changes to Canada’s Criminal Code with the aim to “protect victims and keep kids safe from predators.”

Fraser is joined by Monique St. Germain, general counsel at the Canadian Centre for Child Protection Inc., and Nneka MacGregor, executive director of WomenatthecentrE, as well as several Liberal MPs. (December 9, 2025)
