“This is Just the Beginning”, Says Cassidy Caron after Indigenous Artifacts Returned to Canada

After years of waiting, Indigenous leaders welcomed dozens of Indigenous artifacts held by the Vatican on Saturday. The 62 objects will first go to the Canadian Museum of History, where work will be done to determine the community of origin of these artifacts. CPAC’s Michael Serapio interviews Cassidy Caron, former President of the Metis National Council, who played an important role in getting these artifacts returned to Canada.
