Anti-euthanasia group reiterates opposition to MAiD for mental illness – December 5, 2025

Members of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition hold a news conference in Ottawa to reiterate their support for Bill C-218, a private member’s bill that would block the expansion of medical assistance in dying (MAiD) to people suffering solely from mental illness.

Conservative MP Tamara Jansen introduced the legislation earlier this year.
