How Does Canada Move Alberta’s Pipeline Proposal Forward with Indigenous Opposition?

The Ottawa-Alberta MOU prioritizes the building of at least one new pipeline and, if Premier Danielle Smith has her way, it would be a pipeline through northern British Columbia. How big of a misstep was it by the Carney government to move forward with the MOU without first getting buy-in from First Nations communities? CPAC’s Michael Serapio examines this issue with political strategists Susan Smith (Liberal), Cole Hogan (Conservative) and George Soule (NDP).
