Les États-Unis risquent-ils de se retirer de l’ACÉUM? Ce serait « dévastateur pour tous »

Des audiences publiques se sont ouvertes aujourd’hui à Washington sur l’avenir de l’Accord Canada–États-Unis–Mexique (ACÉUM), en amont de son premier examen conjoint prévu en juillet prochain. Une poignée de représentants canadiens y témoigneront devant le Bureau du représentant américain au commerce pour défendre le maintien de l’entente. Ces audiences surviennent alors que les inquiétudes grandissent quant à une éventuelle décision du président américain Donald Trump de se retirer de l’accord. Marc-André Cossette s’entretient avec William Pellerin, avocat en commerce international chez Macmillan LLP, pour évaluer les risques réels d’un retrait américain.
