Ministers discuss cabinet shuffle, PBO housing report, gun buy-back program – December 2, 2025

Ministers speak with reporters as the federal cabinet holds its weekly meeting on Parliament Hill. They face questions on topics ranging from yesterday’s cabinet shuffle, a new report from the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) on federal housing spending, and the federal government’s gun buy-back program.

Speaking with reporters are Prime Minister Mark Carney and ministers Marc Miller (Canadian identity and culture), Joël Lightbound (government transformation, public works and procurement), Julie Dabrusin (environment, climate change and nature), François-Philippe Champagne (finance and national revenue), Steven MacKinnon (transport), Gregor Robertson (housing and infrastructure), Tim Hodgson (energy and natural resources), and Gary Anandasangaree (public safety).
