La Première ministre de l’Alberta a dû évoluer sur une véritable corde raide lors du congrès annuel de son parti, ce week-end. Danielle Smith avait présenté l’entente conclue avec Ottawa comme un nouveau départ dans les relations entre l’Alberta et le fédéral, mais elle a été accueillie par des huées en tentant d’en faire la promotion devant ses militants. Selon Frédéric Boily, professeur de science politique à l’Université de l’Alberta, une grande partie des partisans du Parti conservateur uni demeure profondément méfiante à l’égard d’Ottawa.
