Les aspirants à la direction du NPD se sont affrontés ce soir dans un débat présenté comme francophone. Toutefois, avant même le début, le parti avait déjà modéré les attentes, précisant que seulement 60 % du débat se déroulerait en français, puisqu’aucun des cinq candidats n’est pleinement bilingue. Marc-André Cossette reçoit Matthew Dubé, député néodémocrate de Beloeil-Chambly de 2011 à 2019, et Mélanie Richer, ancienne directrice des communications et des médias pour le NPD et pour Jagmeet Singh, afin d’évaluer l’importance du français dans cette course à la chefferie.
